History
The Ness Creek Music Festival was built on the legacy of a smaller event called "The Ecological Fair" which was held in 1989 and 1990 near the current Festival site. These were small gatherings that featured ecological workshops and displays, and a small evening stage featuring local musicians. In 1991 the first Ness Creek Music Festival was held in its current location.
What began as a Friday/Saturday Festival with 7 bands and 200 people steadily grew over the years to include a variety of events that take place over 4 days, filled with over 20 Main Stage performances, Workshop stage, Eco-Village, Community Kitchen, Children's Area, Drum and Dance Circle, Community Sharing Circle, Chill Tent and over 2700 attendees. The Festival's current audience is an even mix of urban and rural, young and old.
The Ness Creek Cultural & Recreational Society is a volunteer run organization. To learn more about being a volunteer or who the current Board of Director's are call 652-6377.
